Mark earned his master’s degree in Human Performance and Sports Science from Tennessee State University. Additionally, Mark holds credentials as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA CSCS), Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM PES), Exercise Is Medicine Level 1 (ACSM EIM1), and Fitness Specialist (EXOS XFS). Within the health, wellness, and fitness industry, Mark has held many positions including health educator, biometric screener, personal trainer, group fitness instructor, wellness coordinator, adjunct instructor, assistant program manager, strength and conditioning coach, wellness support coordinator, health fitness specialist, and now certified exercise specialist. In all these roles, Mark has gained experience that has helped him become a better fitness professional and strength and conditioning coach for the athletes and clients he serves.
In his time as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach, Mark has trained individuals with various goals and needs that include weight loss, disease management, sports performance improvement, tactical performance improvement, strength, speed, agility, and quickness enhancement, injury management and rehabilitation, etc. He has trained athletes at various levels ranging from elementary to military and division I collegiate athletes. Mark brings a wealth of knowledge that he is eager to use to help Griffin Elite athletes excel at the highest level.
